Underwater Treasures of La Jolla

Click here for a detailed description of the program and here for a photographic impression of some other programs.

Curator led visits to Scripps vertebrate and invertebrate collections, as well as presentations by Scripps marine researchers and other local scientists, gives us an appreciation for what is known and not known about our seas.

La Jolla offers a wide variety of experiences with visits to Scripps Institute of Oceanography as well as intimate encounters with Southern California marine life.

Kayaking is one of the best ways to observe La Jolla's geology, sea birds, and marine mammals.

Shy Leopard sharks, and various species of rays are frequent visitors to our snorkel sites.

The Underwater Treasures of La Jolla program allows us to get an "insider's" view of the latest marine science and to observe, first hand, the inhabitants of our Pacific coast shores.
